Hong Kong Show at the Larry Kanfer Gallery
From the vibrant hustle and architectural patterns of the Hong Kong cityscapes to the colorful, rural waterways of Tai O, the intensity and depth of this Larry Kanfer photographic artwork collection can be enjoyed from April 6th to April 21st. Visit with artist during the opening April 6th and see Hong Kong through Larry Kanfer’s lens at the Larry Kanfer Gallery, South Neil Street in Champaign.

Boneyard Arts Festival
Presented annually every spring by 40 North | 88 West, the Boneyard Arts Festival is a four-day event showcasing the broad range of creative activity flourishing in our community. Its goal is to bring together local artists, businesses and organizations for a special event showcasing the art of Champaign County. More than a traditional arts walk, the Boneyard is a unique countywide celebration that takes place in a wide variety of venues both traditional and non-traditional and features the work of literally hundreds of artists. Sculptors, weavers, painters, photographers and other visual artists join musicians, actors, dancers, poets and performers of all kinds in sharing their creativity throughout Champaign, Urbana, U of I Campus, Rantoul, Homer, Mahomet, St. Joseph and Sidney. The festival stimulates cultural, economic, social and educational growth by providing an opportunity for people of every age, background and interest to participate.
Champaign County Town & Country Amateur Art Show
Springer Cultural Center hosts annually the Town & Country County Amateur Art Show. These shows are held throughout the state to encourage amateur artists to experiment with the visual arts. It’s an opportunity for youth and adults who are not professionally trained in drawing, painting, sculpting, photography, printmaking, digital media, pottery and crafts to have an opportunity to display their talent in this show. The show is jurored by a professional in the area of arts. There are two divisions to enter, youth and adult. Those who receive a blue ribbon or Best of Show are eligible to enter the State Town & Country Amateur Art Show in the fall.
